The Chief Umpire shall be appointed by the President and is a non-voting member when attending Executive Committee meetings. The Chief Umpire performs the following tasks:
1. Provides updates to the Executive Committee and Coaching Chair relating to any changes to the Laws of the Sport of lawn bowling that affect the club;
2. Provides advice to the Executive Committee regarding interpretation of the Laws of the Sport of lawn bowling when requested;
3. Provides advice to the Coaching Chair and coaches regarding interpretation of the Laws of the Sport of lawn bowling when requested;
4. Provides umpire services for in-club tournaments;
5. Provides umpire services (along with other BSI umpires as required) for BSI tournaments hosted by the club in coordination with the BSI Umpire Committee;
6. Provides in-club training relating to the Laws of the Sport of lawn bowling as requested by the Executive Committee;
7. Provides in-club measuring clinics as requested by the Executive Committee;
8. Provides articles for inclusion in the club newsletter;
9. Is a member of the BSI Umpire Committe
